Plate Final

BIG "Thank You" to everyone who came out to support the lads last night, its great to see the Wacs Family out in force!

Another great win for a team with huge Character, to come back from 6-0 in the first half and win it is an amazing achievement, thanks to every player who contributed this year and thank you to all the fans who braved the cold every Sunday to support us.

Report:
Wacs found themselves 6-0 down at the end of the first half, however the tide turned in the second half beginning with a goal at the start of the 3rd quarter when Reece Eagle took advantage of an Extra Man opportunity, Reece then took over at the Face Off beating his England U19 team mate Mike Armstrong from then on in. Wacs took advantage by playing a Physical game and the Wacs Def shut the door on Timperley with Tom Leahy shining at the back picking off passes and helping on transition also Phil "Darth" Elwood had another solid game. Mark Williams was shell shocked in the first few minutes but became a leader in the goal and stepped up his game to make some quality saves!. Ant Boyle used his powerful shot to get Wacs back into the game making the score 7-6 in the fourth. With 2:00 mins remaining Wacs midfielder Josh Shingler was obviously fouled but Timperley took the ball to the other end and scored with little time remaining. Ollie Seddon could have won it for Wacs with seconds on the clock but the Timperley Keeper made a great save. OT it was and with Mark Williams having to start work at 20:30 we needed to finish this one quickly, Reece Eagle won another face and Dom Aldred finished the game with a cheeky behind the back - much craziness, shouting and jumping around ensued...................Winners are Grinners!

 Eagle 1g, Boyle 2g, D Aldred 3g, Ollie Seddon 1g, Joe Longley 1g

Special thanks to George, Paul & Alan, Refs Eddie & Wilf and Mark Farrow for doing the Stats!

Thanks Again
